Did Rennsport’s Launch Date Just Leak?

We’ve been living with “Rennsport launches this fall” for what feels like forever—but a new clue out of Japan suggests we might finally have a real day to circle. Local publisher 3goo just pushed a PlayStation trailer that ends with one very specific date: 18 September 2025. Digital and boxed copies, no less.

Now, before we call this official, there’s a caveat: Competition Company (the developer of Rennsport) and global console partner Nacon haven’t said a word. The only official timeline we’ve had so far is “fall 2025,” then Nacon narrowed that to “September.” This Japanese listing could be a placeholder, a regional one, off or the first concrete sign that a 1.0 release is locked in.

If 3goo jumped the gun, we’ll know soon enough, listings tend to vanish quickly when publishers yell “not final!” But if the date sticks, it means Rennsport’s cross-platform launch window just narrowed to a single week.

What 1.0 should bring (based on past dev blogs)

  • Cross-play and shared progression via the Rennsport companion app

  • Ranked multiplayer, AI races and mid-race challenges for single-player fans

  • GT3 and prototype fields running on Unreal Engine 5

  • Target performance of 4K at 60 fps on PS5 and potentially Xbox Series X if confirmed.

Physical discs—remember those?

The Japanese blurb mentions both digital and “package” versions, implying a Blu-ray edition for collectors. No word on a boxed Xbox copy, but a day-one Microsoft Store release is already in Nacon’s marketing copy.

Why this matters (even if it’s just a leak)

Sim racers have been skeptical about Rennsport’s timeline ever since its flashy esports beta. A store date, leaked or not, suggests final builds are circulating. If 18 September is solid for Japan, a worldwide launch the same week feels likely. If it’s a mistake, Competition Company will need to clear the air fast.

Either way, keep refreshing the official socials. The fall racing calendar just got a potential anchor point—and we’re only three months out.
