iRacing has announced a landmark partnership with Cosworth that will bring professional-grade telemetry tools to over 350,000 active iRacers worldwide. The multi-year agreement makes Cosworth an official data analysis partner of iRacing, providing free access to their renowned Pi Toolbox software that’s currently used by top-tier motorsport teams in IndyCar, WEC and more.<\/p>\n
This partnership represents another major milestone in what’s been an incredibly busy period for iRacing. Between the upcoming INDYCAR console game set for 2026<\/a>, NASCAR 25<\/a>, the highly anticipated Season 4 patch<\/a>, and the launch of iRacing Arcade<\/a>, the company has been firing on all cylinders with announcements and releases.<\/p>\n The centerpiece of this partnership is Pi Toolbox, Cosworth’s advanced data analysis software that’s been the backbone of professional motorsport teams for years. Previously, sim racers had to rely on unofficial community-created solutions to use professional data analysis software like MoTeC i2. These workarounds, while clever, weren’t officially supported and required third-party converters to analyze iRacing telemetry data properly.<\/p>\n Now, Pi Toolbox will natively read iRacing’s ‘.IBT’ data files, eliminating those barriers entirely and providing an official, supported solution. “This partnership represents a big step forward in Cosworth’s ongoing mission to democratise data for drivers at every level,” said Florian Kamelger, CEO of Cosworth.<\/p>\n Perhaps the most exciting feature launching later in 2025 is live remote telemetry support \u2013 a first for sim racing.
