The Skip Barber Formula iRacing Series is back for 2025.<\/h2>\n

Once again Skip Barber is aiming to give sim racers the chance to showcase their skills in a proper race car. Announced on June 5th, iRacing and Skip Barber Racing School officials have confirmed the series will return June 26th. Similar to previous years, the Skip Barber Formula Race Series and iRacing are offering a $500,000 prize pool, that is to be paid out in opportunities to drive Skip Barber\u2019s F4 cars, and gift cards.<\/p>\n

The six-race championship kicks off at the virtual Sebring International Raceway using iRacing\u2019s FIA F4 car.<\/h2>\n

The schedule that Skip Barber has chosen closely mirrors this year\u2019s real-world SBRS calendar, with the goal of preparing the sim drivers and eventual winner for their full season in the Skip Barber F4 series.<\/p>\n

For those competing, the format for each round is a Hot Lap Qualifier that take place from Friday to Sunday as a time attack session before the race that consist of the 20 fastest drivers on Thursday.<\/p>\n

Now racers need to be aware, there is a cost to the time attack.<\/h2>\n

Entry for each qualifier costs $20, or you can pay $100 for the full season, a $20 savings over paying for each round.<\/p>\n

For sim racers dreaming of the real thing, this isn\u2019t just another esports series. It can be a legitimate opportunity to get into a real race car. I should know, in 2022 and 2023, I competed in the series and racked up numerous hard charger awards. At the end of the competition I was able to get into a race car for the first time attending one of their 3-day schools in an F4 car at Circuit of the Americas. It\u2019s hard to overstate how unique that opportunity really is.<\/p>\n
