As the 24 Hours of Le Mans approaches, Studio 397 has released a significant update for Le Mans Ultimate, bringing the game closer to its vision of authentic endurance racing, and subsequently closer to it’s rival sim such as iRacing.<\/span> The June 10th update introduces features that fans have eagerly anticipated. Driver swaps, teams, team management, and custom liveries.<\/span><\/p>\n

Driver Swaps<\/h3>\n

One of the standout additions in the upcoming update is the implementation of driver swaps.<\/span> Players can now participate in multi-driver team races, handing over control mid-race during live online endurance events.<\/span> This feature enhances the strategic depth of races, requiring coordination and teamwork.<\/span> Initially, driver swaps will only be available in special events to monitor performance and stability before broader implementation.<\/span><\/p>\n

Le Mans Ultimate Teams<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Teams and Team Management<\/h3>\n

The new team management system allows players to create and manage teams within the game.<\/span> Team owners can assign roles such as drivers, engineers, and managers, each with specific responsibilities.<\/span> This structure fosters a more immersive experience, mirroring real-world racing team dynamics.<\/span> Teams can consist of up to six members, with options to expand for RaceControl Pro or Pro+ subscribers.<\/span><\/p>\n

Custom Liveries<\/h3>\n

Customization takes a leap forward with the introduction of custom liveries.<\/span> Players can design and upload unique liveries for their cars, which are then automatically shared with other drivers and spectators in online events.<\/span> This feature is currently available for RaceControl Pro and Pro+ users, with plans to expand access in the future. It is worth noting although you can edit the files in photoshop, if your livery is reported and found to be against terms of service, it is possible to get a permeant ban as a result of the livery.<\/span><\/p>\n

Le Mans Ultimate June Update: New Cars<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Completing the 2024 Season Content<\/h3>\n

The update also marks the completion of the 2024 season content.<\/span> The fifth and final DLC pack introduces two new LMGT3 cars. Included in the pack are the Lamborghini Hurac\u00e1n LMGT3 Evo2, the Lexus RC F LMGT3, and the Lusail International Circuit, including its short layout.<\/span> These additions bring the game’s total to 11 circuits with 21 layouts, 11 hypercars, 1 LMP2, 4 GTEs, and 9 LMGT3s.<\/span><\/p>\n

Additional Enhancements<\/h3>\n

Beyond the headline features, the update includes refinements to the LMGT3 tyre model, improved race start procedures, and various technical optimizations.<\/span> These changes aim to enhance the overall gameplay experience, addressing community feedback and improving stability.<\/span><\/p>\n

Studio 397’s commitment to evolving Le Mans Ultimate is evident in this substantial update.<\/span> As the game continues to develop, players can look forward to an increasingly authentic and engaging endurance racing experience.<\/span><\/p>\n
