FIA F4 Global Esports Championship Returns to iRacing for 2025 Season with $35,000 Prize Pool
Aspiring virtual open-wheel racers, mark your calendars! Following a successful debut season in 2024, the FIA F4 Global Esports Championship presented by MOZA Racing is officially set to make its return to the iRacing platform this October.
The collaboration between the Fédération Internationale de l’Automobile (FIA), iRacing, and presenting sponsor MOZA Racing will once again provide a high-profile stage for global talent to compete in the virtual FIA Formula 4 car.
Building on the foundation of its inaugural year, the 2025 championship boasts an increased prize pool of $35,000 USD, signifying the growing importance of the series as a recognized step on the virtual motorsport ladder.
Qualification Through Regional Tours

As with the previous season, entry into the prestigious Global Championship will be determined through iRacing’s official FIA F4 Regional Tour series. All iRacing members are eligible to compete in these series, which are divided into Americas, Asia-Pacific, and European regions.
Qualification will be based on performance during iRacing 2025 Season 3 (scheduled to begin in mid-June). The top 10 eligible drivers from the final championship standings in each of the three Regional Tours will earn an invitation to the 30-driver Global Championship grid. To ensure authentic regional representation, drivers must provide official identification (Passport or ID card) corresponding to the region they wish to represent.
Championship Format and Schedule
The 2025 FIA F4 Global Esports Championship will feature four events, each comprising a doubleheader format with two races at different tracks, making for an eight-round championship. The dates are set for:
- October 25, 2025
- November 8, 2025
- November 22, 2025
- December 6, 2025 (Finale)
Adding an element of challenge and adaptability, the specific tracks for each event will only be announced 24 hours prior to the race. Drivers will compete using fixed setups in the FIA Formula 4 car, ensuring a level playing field where driver skill is paramount. Each race day will consist of practice, a single-lap qualifying session, and two intense 15-minute races.
Fans can follow the action live, as all championship races will be broadcast across iRacing’s social media channels.
A Stepping Stone for Aspiring Talent
This championship represents a key part of the ongoing partnership between the FIA and iRacing, focused on utilizing the popular Formula 4 platform as an accessible entry point into motorsport, both virtual and real. Since the collaboration began, iRacing notes that nearly 100,000 drivers have utilized the virtual FIA F4 car, honing their skills in series designed to mirror real-world grassroots racing pathways. The championship provides a competitive environment for these drivers to test themselves against global competition.
With an increased prize pool and the backing of the FIA and MOZA Racing, the second season of the FIA F4 Global Esports Championship promises exciting open-wheel esports action this fall. Eligible iRacers aiming for a spot on the grid should prepare for the Season 3 Regional Tours starting in June.
