Fanatec has chosen to cut prices following easing tariffs.
2025 started somewhat rocky for sim racers looking for new hardware. For those based in the United States, such as myself, we found many products almost doubling in cost and others going up by 3-50%.
This sudden price increase was caused by uncertainties surrounding US tariffs, particularly with China.
These tariffs caused widespread disruption in the sim racing hardware market, leading to increased costs and limited availability of many popular products.
One of the companies affected was Fanatec. They initially increased prices significantly due to anticipated tariffs exceeding 100% on imports from China, while other companies, like Asetek SimSports, temporarily left the US market without a clear return timeline, Fanatec chose to stay, albeit with elevated pricing. Although negotiations are still ongoing, tariffs are currently on hold, and reductions are expected. Due to the changing landscape Fanatec has started to lower prices on most products by approximately 10-30% from their high.
Although the prices are still above their original pre-2025 prices, these recent adjustments represent a welcome step toward price normalization. For those like myself always looking for something to upgrade, or just looking to get into the hobby, these price drops just give sim racers more options, which is always welcome.

Conclusion
Although Fanatec’s prices haven’t completely reverted to pre-tariff levels, recent reductions and the provision of customer compensation options represent significant strides toward stabilizing prices.
Like everyone we would love the pre tariff prices back, we recognize in the current landscape this is mostly likely the best Fanatec can offer while keeping prices stable throughout this turbulent time.
