About Us

Hi, I’m Jack Harrison, welcome to Brake Trace.

Standing next to the FIA Rally Star Cross Kart

I started Brake Trace to give sim racers something I always wanted when I was starting out: clear, insightful updates on the ever-evolving world of sim racing, along with honest, detailed reviews of new gear and software — all from the perspective of someone who’s been in the driver’s seat, both virtually and in real life.

Over the past 8 years, I’ve gone from a casual sim racing enthusiast to a prize-winning esports driver.

Along the way, I’ve had the chance to compete in events like the McLaren Logitech G Challenge and the Ferrari Velas Esports

Series, and even take what I’ve learned in the sim world to the real track. Thanks to the Skip Barber Esports Series and the FIA Rally Star Americas Final, I’ve had the privilege of racing F4 cars and rally stages — experiences that shaped my understanding of racing at the highest level.

This unique mix of sim and real-world experience gives me a practical lens through which I approach every piece of gear, every update, and every debate in the community.

At Brake Trace, I focus on the subtleties — those tiny details that can feel like “nice to haves” until you’re chasing tenths (or thousandths) of a second. At the top level, those fractions can mean the difference between going home empty-handed or earning thousands in prize money. Whether you’re just starting out or gunning for the podium, I’m here to help you make informed choices that’ll level up your racing.

Thanks for stopping by — let’s keep pushing the limits together.
